I found this on Craigs List.  I really need to quit looking on that website.  It was a good buy but it does have some damage, and some of the furniture is missing.  Also it doesn't have any of the original paperwork.  But that's okay.  I'm not using it as a collector piece.  I'm going to have some fun with it.  And eventually I'll sell it and hopefully make a little money.  Isn't it cute?

I've looked at pictures on the internet and I know I don't have everything arranged exactly right.  And I believe there are a few pieces that didn't come with the original house.  The house itself is made of resin.  On the inside I especially love the flooring inside the rooms and ceiling beams.

Here are some views of the individual rooms.   The kitchen.

The dollhouse is in 1:12 scale.  Not a size I typically collect.  But like I said it was a really good price.  It will work well with my Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls.

The Living Room.

The house was originally sold by Franklin Mint. It was designed by artist Violet Schwenig in the late 1990s.  There were 2500 made and it sold for $1,875.  Look at all the detail on the wall "paneling".  And see that cute staircase creeping upstairs in the background?  It takes you up to the bedroom.

Here's the upstairs bedroom.

The stair railing is broken upstairs.  I have the pieces, I think all of them, so I may be able to glue it back to look like the original.  I've run across several pictures on the internet that show what it looked like.  The canopy is also broken off the bed.  I don't have the posts for that so I may have to buy a new one or just do without.

And here is the bathroom.

The tub is a clawfoot and it has pink roses on the side.  You can see some water damage to the floor in this room.

Here are a few more pictures of the exterior.  There is some missing paint and such, nothing that can't be fixed.

There is supposed to be a little garden table in the corner.  I don't have it.

Both the front door and the side door open and close.  This one has the artists name at the top and a Franklin Mint seal next to the door.

And here are a few of the pieces I have to decide what to do with.  Some I know are original to the house, and some are extras.  I know the curtains need to be glued onto the windows.  I'll have to study some copies of other peoples houses to figure out what's what.  There are a few pictures on Pinterest I can take a look at.

All in all I'm happy with my purchase.  It's well made and very detailed.  I hope to make it a quaint home for some of my smaller dollies for a while.  Hope you enjoyed the tour.
