Ashlynn Ella And Hunter Huntsman Come Home
Aren't they they cutest couple? I was lucky enough to find them at Target earlier this week and they hopped right into my shopping cart. I think they are available in most toy stores by now. I got the pair for $35 which is Mattel's suggested price I believe. Some stores may be charging more especially as we get closer to the holidays. I'm delighted to share my dollhouse with these lovebirds.
As you probably know Ashlynn is a Royal at Ever After High School and Hunter is a Rebel. So of course they keep their relationship under wraps as much as possible because their parents don't approve.
I took lots of pictures before they cozied into the the living room at the beach cottage so I'll share some of the details I uncovered about their outfits and features.
First the faces. Ashlynn's face is a bit tanner than most of the other Ever After High girls. She has green eyes and smoky lavender eyeshadow. Her lips are a soft pink and are full. Can you see her cute little shoe earrings? Of course Ashlynn Ella loves shoes of all kinds, especially glass. Her hair is blond and styled into a pouffy ponytail in back. There is a braided strand that frames her face. The headband has birds on it but you cant see them because they are facing the back. Weird, maybe it's on backwards. Ashlynn is a friend to all birds and small animals.
Here's a look at Hunter's face and hair. His eyes are brown and shaded with a lighter color brown. His mouth is a soft neutral color and the lips are thinner than Ashlynn. His hair is full in the center, sort of like a mowhawk and flocked on each side and the back. The longer section is folded over to one side. He wears a lot of hair product so it's very stiff and hard. Also it's got some lint and gunk stuck in there. I plan to brush it out and maybe even wash it.
Now their clothes and bodies:
Ashlynn wears a light aqua dress with pink flowers in the design. The bodice is fitted and she's got puffy shoulder caps over long sheer sleeves. The skirt has a peplum layer of the same sheer fabric this time with gold accents. It suits her perfectly.
Here's a back view. Ashlynns shoes are translucent aqua heels with vines climbing her legs to hold them in place. Her hair is very long.
Her jewelry is all shoes and animal themed and so cute. The necklace looks like little birds fluttering around a cage, the charm bracelet has tiny shoes all around, and her ring has a bird perched on it. She comes with a brush and a purse with clock faces on all sides. She needs to know when it strikes midnight. One side is black and white and the rest are molded into the plastic. It doesn't open.
And the back of the dress closes with Velcro. I did have to take her hands off to get the dress back on. Her fingers are too splayed to slide back into the sleeves.
A better look at her clock pocketbook and her little bird ring.
A quick look at her without clothes shows that her underpants are molded on, like the other Ever After High dolls, and she's fully jointed, except at the ankles, so she poses nicely.
Another view of the happy couple. See what I mean about Hunter's hair comb-over?
And now on to Hunter's clothes and accessories. He's got khaki denim pants, a sleeveless shirt with a forest scene in the fabric print, and a very cool hoodie with several different textures.
Nice biceps.
The sleeveless shirt closes with Velcro in the back. It's very easy to remove. The jacket was a little harder. I had to lift both arms straight up to slide it off.
A Karate move with his boots removed.
Loosening up with some stretches. His torso is nice and muscular. The pants have a bit of stretch in them so he can move lots of ways.
Here are his clothes and accessories. Hi boots are very sturdy plastic and the large flat bottoms enable him to stand up very easily. They slide off and on using the slits in the back.
See the different fabrics in the hoodie? The head cover looks like leather and the back panel is a brownish patterned material. And unlike Ashlynns bag, Hunter's opens. Maybe I can store her jewelry in there. It has a leather look but is actually hard plastic.
He has joints everywhere too, even at the ankles.
Both dolls come with a stand and a bookmark that tells more about them and their stories.
A few more shots of them expressing their love and affection.
To date these are my favorite Ever After High dolls. I like Ashlynn Ella's skin tone because it's a bit more tinted than the other girls. And Hunter Huntsman's outfit and accessories are top notch for a play doll. I hope I've helped you decide you love them too. You can buy them online by clicking the link below. As of this writing date it's discounted so it's much less than the price I paid. A fantastic deal for 2 dolls.
