Catty Noir Wants To Be A Regular Monster High Ghoul
Catty Noir is a 16 year old teenage Werecat singer superstar who is ready to give up the limelight to settle down at Monster High School with the rest of the Monster kids. She recorded the new Official Monster High song "We Are Monsters". Catty loves her glitzy wardrobe though and it may be hard to keep those long dresses from getting trampled in the hallways. Catty doesn't have a pet because it's too hard with all the traveling she does. Maybe now that she will be in one place for a while she can adopt one.
I bought Catty Noir today. She isn't supposed to be in stores until September 13th. That falls on a Friday and Catty is notoriously superstitious so it was the original roll out date. But I've seen her at Toys r Us and Target already. I couldn't resist. I love her dark black and hot pink coloring and her little pink nose. That sparkly dress is hard to walk away from too.

Here's a look at the front and back of the box.
And a up close view of her storyline.
Her tagline on the front reads "Fangs for being a fan" in gold print, along with her signature and xoxo.
The inside packaging before I "released" her from her bondage. Her journal is different from the other monsters. It's got the number 13 on the front. She comes with a new style saddle stand, the journal, a brush, and her outfit and accessories that she's wearing - which includes a metallic red microphone.
Speaking of releasing Cattie Noir, she sure was tethered to the packaging in a lot of places. It took a lot of cutting to get her out. The dress is splayed on out for presentation and many of the fabric strips are held in place with plastic tabs.
Catty's eyes are pink and purple and her makeup is pink and glittery silver. She had quite a bit of loose glitter on her face from being jostled around in the box. One of her earrings is shaped like the number 13. Her little pink nose is adorable and she's got full pink lips.
Here is a look at the front and back of her dress. It has spider web patterns and is an off one shoulder style, with a skirt full of sparkly tulle. Her necklace and bracelets are metallic like her microphone. Like the other Monster High Werecats, Catty Noir has a long curled tail. Her dress has a space in the Velcro to accommodate it. She is the 5th Werecat in the stories. The others are all very popular and I'm pretty sure Catty Noir will be too. She's gorgeous.
Catty Noir's hair is long and two shades of pink. It's styled in a high ponytail and some shorter wisps near her face are swept off to one side. Her hair is soft and easy to brush.
She wears high silver boots that continue the spider web graphic in the design. They are hard plastic and break into 2 parts to get them off. They snap back together easily too.
Here are full length pictures of her front and back while she's on her saddle stand. I really like the stand because it doesn't bunch up her clothes like the traditional Monster High doll stands. And the clamp part doesn't need to be adjusted up or down to fit her. She's still holding her microphone in the photos because I didn't clip the thin rubber band that keeps it attached. Easier for me not to lose it. My doll is will stand on a shelf most of the time as a collectible but a child probably would want to take it out of her hand. You can also see how long and full her hair is in the back view.
I think Catty Noir is one of my favorite Monster High dolls so far. Let's see my all time favorite is Clawdeen Wolf. I liked Skelita Calaveras a lot when I bought her but there have been so many cool dolls released since then she's lost her allure. I also love my Clawd Wolf doll that I just found at Kmart the other day. It's very hard to choose. Catty is definitely near the top though. What do you think?
