Ellowyne Grand Despair Doll From Tonner
I'm a huge fan of Robert Tonner Dolls. In particular the Ellowyne Wilde and Evangeline Ghastly collections. I wrote an article about my Ellowyne Wilde Grand Despair Doll on Wizzley. You can click that link to read all about her. She's from 2012. There's a Grand Despair 2 model that was released in 2013 with blonde hair. For this page I'm just going to do a photo shoot. There were several pictures that I didn't include in that article so you can find them all here.
She's really a beautiful doll. She's 16" tall and right now she's the only doll that size I have open. I have her friend Amber Stanhope in my stack of boxed dolls waiting to be freed but I haven't gotten around to opening her box. It takes me a while to debox a doll because I like to take pictures of the process, therefore sometimes dolls are lined up for a while. Poor things. Anyway here are the pictures, enjoy.
The box, very tasteful and restrained.
Inside she's all cozy in her ribbons, hairnet, and tissue paper.
Her skin is so pearly white and I love her glass eyes with long lashes.
Ellowyne's face close-up. Her eyebrows look like they have real hairs. See how tightly her hair is rooted? That's quality.
Ellowyne Wilde's profile and a look at her braided hair bun. Again the tightly rooted hairline.
In the back you can see the intricate hairstyle. I will never be taking it down.
Before her tag and cellophane came off.
And the back before the final unwrap. Her long lovely dark brown hair is so soft. The dress is a bit wrinkled from the box. I will steam it later on. The pleated hemline is very detailed.
The dress closes with Velcro. It's a bit sloppy.
She has layers of netted slips to keep the skirt full.
And black fishnet stockings.
Satin high heel shoes with a touch of lace.
Miss Wylde wears bright red nail polish to match her lipstick.
Her two center fingers are fused together.
Just a few pictures with her arms posed. I'll wait to dress her in another outfit to show her legs bent. I actually have a couple of outfits for her so I'll do that soon.
Hello Ellowyne.
She feels a bit faint.
Always a lady.
And lastly a very close view of her lovely complexion and eyes.
She is a little too big to live in the dollhouse but I've got a special place for her on a high shelf so she can keep an eye on the progress.
