Paint Progress On The Dollhouse Beach Cottage

Ever After High Dolls

Just a quick update on the interior of the beach cottage.  I've got the walls painted.  Downstairs is a soft green called Turtle Dove by Behr in a semi-gloss.  It's supposed to be primer and paint in one but I still had to give it 3 coats.  I guess because the original wall color was bright red.  On the paint chip it looked a bit darker.  Usually paint looks darker after it is applied but not so in this case.  I still like the color, just wish it was a bit deeper.  Smallest can was a quart for $16 so I'm not changing it.  Briar Beauty, Madeline Hatter, and Apple White from Ever After High are relaxing after the tough decision of picking the color.  I can't seem to find Raven Queen so she didn't join the fun.  Maybe she's being lazy and not anxious to help.

Upstairs I am using Martha White crackle texture paint in white and painting over it with a light pink color canned Bleached Shell.  I got a little sample jar of that paint and it's a flat finish. I'm going to use the Martha White sealer to cover it so it's easy to wipe clean.  I also painted the inside and outside ceiling upstairs a stark bright white gloss.  I already had the paint.  I'll post upstairs pictures in the next couple of days after the crackle finish is done.  Here's a reminder of what the interior color was when I brought this beauty home.
