Pinkie Cooper – Ginger Jones – Pepper Parson Dolls

I ran across these cute Pinky Cooper Jet Set Dolls in Toys r Us and had to grab one of each. They're new and are brought to us courtesy of The Bridge Direct. They are 9" tall fashion half dog/half human dolls designed by Bryant Carter, the original creator of Bratz dolls. So far there are 3 characters, left to right - Pinkie Cooper, Pepper Parson, and Ginger Jones. Each doll has a pet dog (seems kinda strange, dogs having dogs for pets), and there are also separate fashions that can be purchased to mix and match between the girls. I got one of each doll and one case.

Pinkie Cooper and The Jet Set Dolls and Pets

The case is a Toys r Us exclusive. The dolls I bought are the basic runway line. There are also deluxe sets that include Pinkie and her pet Little Pinkie in London, Paris, and Beverly Hills fashions.

I'll show pictures of the case opened later. First lets meet the girls. Here's Pinkie Cooper ....

She's an English Cocker Spaniel with cream and caramel coloring. The creator named her after his sister's real English Spaniel. This is what's inside once it's removed from the pretty pink and brown stripe outer box.

You get the 9" doll in her outfit, shoes, a brush, and a purse (it doesn't open - boo). The shoes are a little difficult to put on because her limbs are a bendy rubbery material. Her feet have a high arch and you have to really push the shoes to get them on. Looks like one flopped when I took the picture below. She is leaning against the background. No stand - another boo. She will not be standing on her own with those wobbly legs.

Pinkie and her friends have huge pretty painted inset eyes and rooted eyelashes. Their faces and bodies have the appropriate spaniel spots, and they also have a bit of blush in some areas, like the cheeks, inner arm joints, and knees. They bend at the neck, elbows, legs, and the knees have an internal click joint. The bodies are made of hard plastic.

The storyline behind Pinkie is that she's from the Midwest and is attending fashion design school at New York City's World of Original Fashion academy, or WOOF! Pinkie loves the color pink and loves to create unique jewelry from found objects. Her pet is named Lil' Pinkie and barks every time she sees someone wearing a fashion faux paw. Pinkie loves to travel all over the world with her friends and their pets to get inspiration for her fashion designs. Hence the name Pinkie Cooper Jet Set Dolls.

Now meet Ginger Jones ....

Ginger is a white and chocolate colored Spaniel dog with blue eyes. Here's a fun feature of all the dolls. Their "ears" can be removed to mix and match among them. And they can also be reversed for another look.

The ears are on pegs that insert into the sides of the doll heads. Here's Ginger without her ears, she's pretty cute with a bald head too.

Here's Ginger with her ears reversed so the blonde side is facing forward. The ears are actually long hair that is soft and brushes very easily. Notice the pink hearts on her paws? Each doll has them.

Ginger Jones' character is from Los Angeles and is also a fashion design student. She likes to create fashions from the drawing phase and wants to have her own line someday. Her favorite city is Paris. She loves to wear purple but if you ask her she will say her favorite color is sparkle. Her pet is a pedigreed pooch named Sprinkles.

And finally here is Pepper Parson ....

Her coloring is creamy white and dark brown, with green eyes. She has dark brown and medium brown ears. Her favorite color is turquoise and it looks great on her.

I tried to bend Peppers knee. All the Pinki Cooper dolls have internal click knee joints. I could only get it to click once which doesn't give it much of a bend.

Pepper is a DJ that has a special knack for putting together the perfect playlist for any occasion. She loves to travel with Pinkie and Ginger. She's originally from New York City and that's where she met her best friends. Peppers pet is a little rescue spaniel she adopted and and named Saltine. I think Pepper and Saltine sound cute as a pair.

Here is a picture of their pets, and also fashions that I took in the store. I didn't have the money to buy them right now. The pets ears can be mixed and matched too.

And here's the case I bought. As I mentioned previously it's a Toys r Us exclusive. I paid $17.99.

It has a nice carrying handle on top.

It has space inside for one doll. It would have been nice if they had included a ribbon to tie her in. I stood Pepper in there and had to balance her very carefully to get the picture. A young girl wouldn't be able to manage it. On the other side there is a space I presume for dresses although there is no hanging bar. Maybe it's for another doll? And in the center are a bunch of little compartments to hold the pets and accessories. It's made of thick cardboard with a glossy covering. I'm not sure it would hold up to heavy play. Mine will be for display only so it will be fine as a collector item.

The case comes with a Pinkie Cooper passport. It has a few pages with her picture and spots for travel "stamps". Maybe they will have stickers to put in there soon?

I expect these dolls to be a huge success with young girls and collectors. They are very different from other dolls on the market right now and are being released just in time to get some press and familiarity before Christmas. Please let me know your thoughts on Pinkie Cooper dolls.
