Clawdeen Wolf Coffin Bean Playset

Once again I'm pretty late getting the Monster High dolls and playsets.  The Clawdeen Wolf Coffin Bean set came out last September and I'm just now getting around to posting my photos.  Actually this set was a gift from my coworkers when I left my employer in February.  They knew I am decorating a dollhouse and love Monster High dolls.  That was pretty sweet.

The Coffin Bean is a coffee cafe set with a counter and register, a sofa, coffee table, chair and a Clawdeen Wolf doll.  I've decided that Clawdeen is my new favorite character so I'm happy to have this set.  I am hoping to collect all of the Clawdeen dolls eventually.

Anyway here are some up close photos of the set and a bit of commentary.

The box - after I opened it - I forgot to take a picture before.  As always nice colors and graphics.

Here is Clawdeens face and hair.  I love that she has orangey-red streaks.  You never know what color her hair is going to be.  She's fun that way.  And her purple eyeshadow coordinates with her outfit of course.  Clawdeen is detail oriented when it comes to fashion.  Nice subtle shade of lip color and her signature earrings.

She's wearing a diagonally striped purple and lavender mini-dress and some bright blue chunky boots.  They help her stand up alone pretty easily.  She doesn't come with a stand - she gets a minus point for that.  Her gold jewelry and belt is perfect for the coffee house.  I'm still impressed with the joints and poseability of Monster High dolls.

I'm very pleased with the detail and quality of the couch and chair.  They are completely sturdy and have details on the front and back.  She sits easily in both.  This set gets several bonus points for the furniture.

The coffee shop counter isn't quite as sturdy. It's got lots of cool graphics though on both the front and back.  You cant see them very well but there are spiderweb plastic corners that hold the cardboard background in place.  And the front counter is supported by a spiderweb.  Lots of Gothic details. The set has an espresso machine and a cash register included in the accessories.  You also get some little creature cupcake and croissant munchies and 2 cauldrons of latte.

Overall I give this set an A minus on my grading scale.  I like Clawdeens hair and makeup, her outfit, and I really like the couch and chair.  But the coffee counter is a little flimsy and I would have like a stand for the doll.  It's definitely worth the price I paid though.
