Blythe Loves Littlest Pet Shop dolls by Hasbro Toys
While Blythe dolls have long been reissued in Japan, it was only in 2010 that Hasbro has began to sell them in the US. This is the first time the tiny Blythe doll size has been sold outside of Japan. In combination with the ever-popular Littlest Pet Shop toys, they are a big hit with children and adult collectors too.
The quality of these is not quite up the standards of the collectible Japanese-made Petite Blythes, but they are great Blythe doll toys for children to play with.

Who Is Littlest Pet Shop Blythe?
Hasbro began producing their popular Littlest Pet Shop animals in 2004. In 2010 they got a new Pet Sitter named Blythe Baxter. She moved into the apartment above their pet day care shop. It didn’t take long for Blythe to discover she had the ability to talk to and understand her pet friends.
The Littlest Pet Shop television cartoon series is back on the little screen in 2012. The original was aired in 1995 but didn’t include Blythe. The story line this time centers around Blythe Baxter’s adventures with the pets downstairs.
Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls were immediately accepted by the Blythe Doll collector community. Probably because they are affordable counterparts of the wildly popular Kenner and Takara Tomy Blythe dolls. Their big heads and adorable faces imparted personality beyond their diminutive size.
In 2013 Hasbro discontinued the Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls with rooted hair, fabric fashions, and vinyl bodies in favor of a hard plastic version with clothes that snap on. Similar to Polly Pocket dolls. That leaves the original LPS collectors scrambling to complete their collections before they disappear form store shelves.

These tiny dolls are a mere 4" tall but full of fun features to enjoy. They have painted facial features, glass inset eyes with real eyelashes, and vinyl bodies that move at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Their fashions are interchangeable and very detailed. Most sets come with a pet, however there are a few packages with just the doll and accessories. There were also some Littlest Pet Shop Blythe Dolls produced exclusively for Target.
